Fimec is bringing the leather-footwear sector together again in March

Fimec (International Fair of Leather, Chemical Products, Components, Machinery and Equipment for Footwear Manufacturers and Tanneries) is the only fair in the world that has everything, as it brings together the entire leather-footwear sector’s operation under one roof. The 44th Fimec is scheduled for March 10 to 12, 2020 from 1 pm to 8 pm, in the Fenac pavilions, in Novo Hamburgo/RS, Brazil. From production to logistics, the fair will highlight the latest in leather and skins, chemical products, components, machinery, technology and innovation for the footwear manufacturing industry.

Recognized as the sector’s largest trade fair in Latin America, Fimec will bring together hundreds of exhibitors over 3 days, to launch products, new technology and services, as well as thousands of trade professionals from all over the world, making it the ideal environment to negotiate and conclude business. The fair also has many different attractions, including the Concept Factory, which presents footwear production in real time, for the purpose of showing visitors the applicability of the technological process and products exhibited at the event. Another highlight is the Fimec Studio, which aims at bringing consumer insight to the products and raw materials shows, with trends that serve as inspiration to visitors’ creations.


3rd Fimec Forum confirmed for 2020
In 2020, the Fimec Forum reaches its third edition with the purpose of bringing debaters and the audience together in discussions and analyses focusing on Fashion, Technology and Business for the footwear industry. Fenac CEO Marcio Jung highlights the importance of bringing relevant and exclusive contents to the chain. “Our aim is to bring inspiring and transformative stories to the audience, seeking to generate knowledge on new opportunities and technologies with nationally- and internationally-renowned professionals,” he states. The 3rd edition of Fimec Forum has already been confirmed for the second day of the fair - March 11 - from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

The relevance of the Fimec Forum was highlighted by last edition’s participants and speakers. “It's the only way to gather technicians and professionals with common interests. I believe the fair is the perfect place for this type of event, providing an additional attraction to audiences”, explains Humberto Petry, Calçados Bebecê’s production manager. Cláudia Narciso, Arezzo & Co's Fashion and Strategy Consultant, who spoke at the last edition, also shares this opinion. “Events such as this one, inside a fair like Fimec, allow us to connect with the audience. You create an opportunity to exchange and share experiences. The Fimec Forum can contribute positively to the fair”, she says.
